Tunisian Knit Stitch

- Worsted Weight Yarn
- Size I (5.5 mm) Tunisian Crochet Hook or size needed for gauge
- Yarn needle to weave in ends
Gauge: Approx 4 stitches and 5 rows = 1 inch (2.5 cm)
Directions: (make 2) Chain any number. (For tote, ch 18)
Row 1: (Part 1) Insert hook in 2nd ch from hook, YO, pull up loop; (insert hook in next ch, YO, pull up loop) across to end of ch leaving all loops on the hook (Part 2) YO, pull through 1st loop on hook; (YO, pull through 2 loops on hook) across until one loop remains on the hook.
Row 2: (Part 1) Skip first vertical bar, (insert hook through the work from front to back between the strands of the next vertical bar, YO pull up a loop) across to end, leaving all loops on the hook. (Part 2) YO, pull through 1st loop on hook; (YO, pull through 2 loops on hook) across until one loop remains on the hook.
Repeat Row 2 for pattern.
Last Row: Skip first vertical bar, (insert hook under next vertical bar, YO, pull up a loop; YO, Pull through both loops on hook) across to end. Fasten Off.
