Beaded Lace Knitting is CHOCK FULL of information! I am so excited to share it with you!!

Author Anniken Allis has created a delightful book of 25 knitted items that cover all levels of knitters. But before she even gets into the projects, she includes 26 pages of techniques, with PHOTOS, on lace knitting in general and adding beads to your knitting. There is even a section on cast ons, bind offs and short-row shaping. The photos are clear and the instructions are written in easy to understand language. Every abbreviation is listed and explained if needed. If you prefer charts, she has included those as well. Even a beginner can easily follow along and expand their knitting skill set.

What I love most about the book, however, is that she has rated each pattern by complexity, not skill level. She doesn’t want to scare you away from any piece, and I find that wonderfully refreshing! She recommends if you have not done any lace or bead knitting to start with a Level 1 project, but I find that if you want to challenge yourself you could start at a Level 2 and work your way through it! Level 3 is more complex with more shaping and lace patterning.

Now lets talk about the projects!

There are shawls. There are mitts. There are cowls. There are garments. Something for everyone!

Each pattern is beautifully executed with a large main photo, a gorgeous detail photo of the stitch pattern, well written pattern and large, easy-to-read charts. Included are special stitches that are used and notes sprinkled in when needed.
