Christmas Dress
If you are like me, Every year you say, I am going to make myself a holiday dress. And every year I make a half hearted attempt to find a pattern or think about designing my own.. and it never happens.
Well, This year, I didnt say that. I didnt even start looking. But then yesterday the January issue of Crochet! Magazine hit my mail box. Have you seen this dress?
It is the Dawn ’til Dusk Sweater Dress by Treva McCain. I fell in love immediately.
I happened to head to my LYS Great Yarns! to pick up a skein of yarn to my my son’s teacher a scarf for christmas, and decided to look at some yarn to make this up. I decided on Trendsetter Merino VI for the dress and On Line Starlight for the contrasting color.
I am not a taupe girl.. I cannot wear those colors successfully. But in dire need of a new “little black dress” I selected Black Merino and a Shimmering Black for the contrast.
I promise.. I will post along as I go! This weekend I have to get 2 designs completed and FInish the sweater I have started for mom..(Which is almost there) and Monday.. I start work!
